one of the most appealing things about hawai’i is the idea of a waterfall! a lot of our waterfall hikes are dangerous or harmful to the environment, so be aware and be respectful if a trail is labeled as illegal. there’s a reason for it, and it’s not just because the government doesn’t want people to have fun, it’s usually either for your safety or for the safety of our ecosystem.

with that said, there are still a few waterfalls available on o’ahu to explore! these are the ones I would recommend. they are all easy to moderate and you can swim in most of them.
