5 Hotels That Will Make Your Wedding Night Special In Honolulu

so you need a place to stay for your wedding night in O’ahu—but how do you choose? let’s go through some of my favourite sleeps on the island…

SOUTH SHORE

The Surfjack

the Surfjack is a fun, low-key hotel full of artful detail. it’s the perfect place on the south shore to come back to for a glass of champagne, a night swim, and a delightfully large shower ;) with impeccable customer service and a great selection of breakfast goods in the morning, this is my go-to pick for the south shore.

The Laylow

on the same block as Kona Coffee Purveyors, Marukame, and Duke’s Alley, The Laylow plunks you right into the middle of the action in waikiki. it’s a pretty place to spend the night, yes, but they also have a beautiful lanai space where you can host friends and family for an afterparty, or just have a relaxing snuggle by the fire with your boothang.

The Royal Hawaiian

if luxury is more your speed, the Royal Hawaiian is a hotel that has captured our attention since 1927 with its iconic pink palace walls. with professional service and fun attractions such as surfing and lei-making, it’s a wonderful place to both relax and learn a little more about the island culture in a fun way.

EAST SHORE

Paradise Bay Resort

if sleek and modern characterizes the offerings on other sides of the island, at Paradise Bay you’ll find a comforting, hawaiiana, homey charm. unmatched in their stunning, unique views of O’ahu, this is the perfect place to land if you plan on doing a lot of hiking and exploring around the east side of O’ahu.

NORTH SHORE

Turtle Bay Resort

Turtle Bay is a beautiful specimen of a resort—their newly renovated space is airy and gives you space to really breathe. their reimagined experience takes you from hurried to slow, and their rooms are sublime. not to mention easy access to the resort properties, which also happens to be the home of two beautiful beaches. if you want to have both options to explore or to relax onsite, Turtle Bay is my north shore pick.

WEST SHORE

Four Seasons Ko’olina

the Four Seasons Ko’olina is a freshly renovated resort that is catered towards couples and quiet moments. perhaps the most perfect experience on the island, it comes with a hefty price tag! still yet, this hotel is incredibly chic, situated to show off the most beautiful sunsets, and ready to make your most romantic dreams come true.

regardless of where you land for the night, you are in for a treat. you and your love in Hawai’i for a romantic elopement and honeymoon?! what could go wrong! if you find yourself needing more tips and tricks and insider info on where to go, what to do, and (most importantly) what to eat, feel free to reach out to me~

until we see each other here,
