kayak to the moke’s

these islands are called na mokulua but are usually referred to as the moke’s. The moke’s are the two islands, moku nui and moku iki. you can visit moku nui (the island to the left), but moku iki is a bird sanctuary and strictly off-limits.

this one is a fun, super unique activity. it does require a rental and the determination to do it! you’ll be rewarded by getting a unique experience of exploring moku nui, a place usually reserved for animals that can fly there. some things to do there are jump off a rock into shark’s cove or swim in queen’s bath. make sure to bring everything you need—sunscreen, sunglasses, water, and lunch. give yourself a good amount of time to get there, explore, and go back (at least 4-5 hours).
