megan + raymound’s intimate california destination wedding

forced to downsize their wedding due to COvid, megan + raymound decided to hold an intimate gathering of their family members to officially get hitched. the armenian priest megan got to know in her time in grad school turned out to be raymound’s long-time family friend, and what a fun and intimate ceremony it was! one of the traditions in these services is to crown the bride & groom, and though they normally have to return the crown, the minister decided megan looked so comfortable in it, he let her keep it 😂though they were not the most comfortable around people, we found pockets of refuge at griffith observatory. it was so lovely to see them unfold and relax throughout our session.

this was such a deeply beautiful wedding, and though there were so many restrictions and set backs, megan and raymound had such a rich, intentional time to start off their marriage. 💛 I am so grateful they had me be a part of their union and celebration.

“I would recommend Marisa to all my friends, family, and anyone I knew who was in need of a photographer, to capture their story. She is humble, understanding, and will accommodate your exact needs and personality. She will treat you as your dearest friend, and create an atmosphere of safety, excitement, and celebration, while working to authentically capture who you are, with her stunning photography style. Marisa is such a caring and thoughtful individual, that can set you at ease - especially for people who find being in front of a camera a vulnerable, or anxious experience. A session with her feels like an adventure with a great friend. The photos we received were emotionally stirring and timelessly beautiful. I know that there was no better choice for someone to capture our wedding experience.”
